This is my second artist link, Tim Marrs. Tim Marrs uses digital techniques and effects to create a sort of pop culture, American culture, pulp fictionish atmosphere in his works. As you can see, his works contain strong use of colours and composition for expression. The size and composition is surrealistic and creates a rare and unatural atmosphere associated with contemporary art.

Tim Marrs is known for his many works in the commercial business. He has made designs for things such as magazines, books and products. He has been working for big companies like Nike, Pepsi Max, Asics etc.

April Gertler

This is one of my artist links for my sketchbook: April Gertler. Gertler's art is focusing on collages, atmosphere, social meaning, purpose, intention and composition. Her basic technique is to find old photographs and put them together using different materials to create a meaning and an atmosphere in the piece of work.

I really like how the things are put together and how all the elements work in harmony together. There is always an intention and a purpose behind. =)

Final Piece 1

This is the first piece I made for my Art exam.
The basic of it is a glue print added a surface of emulsion and tea and then pen and ink. I've added suitable water colours with blue, grey and black. I've also used brush techniques to make "splashy" effects with watercolour and emulsion.

This is the piece that I am most satisfied with of all my pieces, because I like the harmony between the colours and effects and the focus on atmosphere in the photo (my theme was festivals).

This is a video of Michael Anderson, artist of poster collages, who is explaining what he is doing and his intention and purpose behind his art. Anderson has in many ways inspired me in my own sketchbook in art and my exam piece, and I find collage art quite fascinating!
